Reminder that meetings and tweets don't put more munitions into US stocks. There has to be money to buy them. Between the base budget and reconciliation, there is not enough money to fund 100% of the production increases for the 7 munitions the Department has signed frameworks for.
This is why the munitions supplemental is necessary.
Beyond that, the base defense budget needs to be larger in order to afford all of these additional munitions that will be produced each year.
It's always been a money problem.

The Saudis are going to keep the THAAD Battery line hot for some time, but there needs to be a discussion about what comes after. Are they banking on a Qatari order? Does Qatar even want or need one at this point? US Army certainly needs a 9th and 10th battery.
