The US numerous times in history after being attacked took many days or weeks before going to war or considering taking military action. In this case, US and Israel, and potential Gulf states are already at war,

Britain may or may not join in to some extent. Britain severely lacks long-range missiles and other munitions, and it would be very costly for them to go to war, it would weaken their already weak military, and defenses against Russia and if anything happens within China in the following year.

Other than, some air defense, allowing to the US to use British bases, surveillance, and dropping some glide bombs, it’s best for UK to allow the US, Israel, and the Gulf states to deal with Iran, while the UK focuses on strengthening its military.

Marshall Islands-flagged MKD Fium product tanker got hit by a naval drone in the Arabian Sea in the Gulf of Oman, about 50 nautical miles north of Muscat.

According to Omani authorities, the explosion damaged the vessel’s engine room and caused a fire that the crew later extinguished. No fatalities were reported.
