@gordiegordie1: F-35 is perfectly suitable for arctic & remote ops. The USAF has over 50 F-35s permanently based at Eielson AFB, which way further north than any base we could conceivably try to fly larger numbers of aircraft from. You haven't got a clue.

I will reiterate that there needs to be drone strikes on these gangs of thugs. If Epic Fury does nothing but target IRGC & Artesh military hardware it will not succeed in toppling the regime. The IRGC gave the US advanced notice (via Iraq) of Operation Martyr Soleimani in an attempt to deescalate while saving face. Doesn't really make sense that they would make this an occasion to test a dirty warhead. The slightly elevated levels of heavy metals don't track with deliberate contamination of the warhead either.
