@Wakidesignz: Every munition and weapon system has advantages and disadvantages, including ballistic missiles. Iran invests in them heavily because its cheaper than an air force, and they will never be able to challenge American aviation in any case. The Iranian people suffer because the regime's limited resources all go to their war machine.
My personal view is that US doctrine has not placed sufficient emphasis on BMs. This is due to institutional and legal factors.
