🇺🇸 NAVAIR has released a RFI seeking sources capable of producing an extended range anti-radiation missile, capable of going beyond current missiles in Navy inventory. Production demand of 300 AURs per year is expected. Requirements are:
▶️ Ready within 2 years
▶️ Compatible with F-18 & F-35
▶️ Inertial navigation plus M-Code GPS required with anti-jam capability and alternative navigation
▶️ ability to engage air-to-air and air-to-ground targets
▶️ Robust ECCM capabilities to defeat enemy countermeasures, including chaff, flares, jamming and anti-ARM techniques.
▶️ Exportable configuration available or feasible

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Good thread on how the targets of possible US strikes on Iran likely extends far beyond their nuclear program. Degradation of their missile program will probably be the main focus. Not much juice left to squeeze on the nuclear program.

🇺🇸 In other NAVAIR news, they have just declared Initial Operating Capability for GBU-53/B StormBreaker (SDB II) on the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet.
Limited limited early operational capability and combat employment was achieved last year against the Houthis in Yemen.
SDB II is a USAF lead program, with integration already achieved on F-15E and integration ongoing on the F-16 & F-35.
The Navy is also actively pursuing integration of SDB I on the F-18.

A new VA ruling may force our disabled veterans to choose between compensation or treatment. Not ideal, to say the least.
