🇺🇸🇺🇦 Minister Sikorski is mistaken, Ukraine Supplemental Appropriations from the United States are not actually exhausted.

There's probably around $7 billion in still unobligated Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative Funds, and several billion in untapped Presidential Drawdown Authority which the Trump Admin is sitting on.

What is true, is that the United States is in no position to be dictating terms to anyone. Cessation of PURL sales to Ukraine would hurt American industry at least as much as Ukraine's war effort at this point. The United States therefore has very little leverage over Ukraine.

They have zero leverage over Russia, because no serious costs, either military or economic, have been imposed. If the Trump Admin wants to continue to attempt to play a leading role in these so called peace efforts, they need to exercise the remaining appropriations & authority and pass a new Russia sanctions bill.
