@Andrea_Migone @Rebel44CZ: We don't have to imagine. MBDA is a very weak performer overall.

@jj_smither @deaidua: The problem is the US's own inventory of PAC-3 MSE is also limited, given their own requirements and what has already been provided to Ukraine. The Army has only received ~1950 to date. From that subtract expenditures, drawdowns and sales. Doesn't leave much wiggle room.

@Jeff21461: So Norway is making an upfront commitment of around the same number of total deliveries to date. Not bad.

RT @NOELreports: Ukrainian company SkyFall is producing 100,000 Vampire bomber drones per year, according to Defense Express. The drone can carry up to 15 kg, has a range of 45 km and a top speed of 80 km/h. Its price has dropped from up to $20,000 to about $8,500, with plans to fully localize components by the end of the year.

🇳🇴Norway is set to finance the procurement of French-made AASM Hammer precision-guided bombs for Ukraine, allocating €365 million for the effort.
P.S: I sincerely hope that a meaningful portion of these funds will go toward expanding production capacity. The AASM Hammer is an excellent system, highly capable, accurate, and combat-proven.
However, its limited production rate severely restricts its impact. Open-source data suggests annual output stands at around 1,200 units per year. That translates to roughly 3,3 bombs per day, hardly enough to sustain even two combat sorties daily with standard loadouts. At such rates, the system simply cannot demonstrate its full operational potential.
To be clear, I believe the AASM Hammer is a fairly priced top-tier product and in many respects it matches or even surpasses American equivalents such as JDAM. And I believe that in larger quantities they could influence the situation at the front....

5 PAC-3 interceptor missiles. What a joke? Ukraine 🇺🇦 received hundreds from America in the past, then under Trump Ukraine has stopped getting Patriot air defense missiles
Now, Europe is sending next to nothing meaning most Ukrainian Patriot systems are standing with no missiles

@Narretz @Rebel44CZ: Having a modular warhead section isn't inherently a massive complication, but if there are 6 cooks in the kitchen then it's absolutely going to be an issue.

@Andrea_Migone @Rebel44CZ: Meteor has never been used in combat, on what basis can it be objectively assessed as "the best AAM"? MBDA marketing materials? lmao
As for Storm Shadow, MBDA isn't competing against EU companies, they are competing against all companies. JASSM-ER is the best and most cost effective missile in its class and it is not even remotely close.

In a year, all of NATO: “Here is one Patriot PAC-3 missile for you 8 Patriot systems, which all 32 NATO countries were able to come up with in a span of 6 months
Are you thankful? Are you thankful that we are funding Russia and allowing them to get away with bombing your cities and keeping your civilians in freezing cold.
We understand that NATO could easily send 1% of our long-range missiles and allow you to take out Russia’s entire Shahed drone and short range ballistic missile production, but that is to much to ask for, we’d rather see Ukraine get destroyed than do that.”
Imagine instead of the US funding the vast of majority of UK and Soviet military equipment in WW2, they funded just 1% and did nothing else. Instead of sending 60% of their ammo production to the Soviet Union, they sent 1%. Where would the world be now? It would be conquered by Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan
