@AnSir86 @Maks_NAFO_FELLA: Sweden 🇸🇪 could begin training pilots on Gripen’s this month. They could’ve started training +3 years ago. Just like F-16s, the training excuse was used to delay any action for over a year, then Ukraine was sent dozens of outdated F-16s
The war isn’t ending in 6 months or a year

@AnSir86 @Maks_NAFO_FELLA: It hasn’t been confirmed that Ukrainian pilots started training on Gripen jets yet. As of 6 weeks ago, Ukrainian pilots and technicians were preparing to start training on Gripen.
Unless you saw more recent news, training hasn’t officially being reported as started, only preparation for training
Ukraine was selecting which pilots and technicians it wanted to train on Gripen at the start of 2026, then later in the year they would start training. But the bigger concern was that Sweden isn’t planning to send Gripens until after the war, which may not be for years, when they could be delivered within 6 to 8 months and have a significant impact on the battlefield.
