The container ship MSC Giada III was on a route from Belgium to Saint Petersburg. The incident took place in the area of the Neva Bay.
An explosion occurred in the engine room, after which a fire broke out and spread to the deck superstructure.

Noticeably - Kursk Novoivanovka counter: (Oct 24-Feb 25): 415 (7.90/day in peak period).
