A Diamond DA42 training aircraft crashed near Orsk, Russia, during a training flight. All three people on board, two cadets and one instructor, were killed.
The DA42 NG aircraft in Russian service has a questionable background. It is a light twin-engine aircraft originally developed by the Austrian manufacturer Diamond Aircraft Industries. Despite the introduction of international sanctions, the company continued to supply aircraft, technical documentation, and production equipment to Russia.
As a result, in 2021 Russia’s Ural Works of Civil Aviation (UZGA) launched localized serial assembly of DA42 aircraft in a closed production cycle.
Due to these sanction violations, numerous Russian pilots were able to receive flight training on this aircraft type.

Near Pokrovsk, Ukrainian soldiers were saved from Russians thanks to the rapid action of drone units.
During an assault on an observation post, a Russian reconnaissance and sabotage group captured four Ukrainian servicemen. The enemy group escorting them was later detected by Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance drones patrolling the area.
Strike drones were immediately launched by the 25th Separate Airborne Sicheslav Brigade, the 68th Separate Jaeger Brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush, and other adjacent units.
The approach of a swarm of FPV drones disoriented the Russian troops and diverted their attention. Taking advantage of the chaos, the Ukrainian soldiers managed to break free from captivity.
Russian troops attempted to hide in bushes and trenches, but within minutes more than ten Ukrainian strike drones engaged the group. Result: the enemy personnel were eliminated.
