All the West needed to do was allow for Ukraine 🇺🇦 to buy missiles to strike two factories, which would cease Iskander-M missile production and motor production
Russia is allowed to strike all factories in Ukraine with missiles using dozens of Western components but Ukraine striking a Russian factory producing ballistic missiles striking it’s infrastructure is a major escalation according to the West
It’s led Russia to become the #1 ballistic missile producer in the World, producing over 70 Iskander-M ballistic missiles per month, and now they have developed an Iskander-M ballistic missile which could reach 20 NATO countries. It poses the largest missile threat to the West, and nothing is being done about it.
Additionally, Ukraine is only being sent a handful of PAC-3 MSE/CRI missiles every month, or sometimes none at all, which means many Ukrainian Patriot systems are either not being used or have a small number of missiles to fire, leading...

Additionally, Ukraine is only being sent a handful of PAC-3 MSE/CRI missiles every month, or sometimes none at all, which means many Ukrainian Patriot systems are either not being used or have a small number of missiles to fire, leading to almost every Iskander launched at a target outside of Kyiv, not being shot down. Russia has realized that Ukraine does not have the air defenses needed to stop Iskander-M missiles and is not allowed the buy missiles to strike the factories. As a result Russia capitalized on the West’s inaction and weakness, and China is helping them out.
Instead of sending Ukraine $100 million in long-range missiles to destroy the Iskander-M factory, the West is wasting several billions of dollars to repair infrastructure destroyed by Iskanders and billions of dollars in air defense missiles to shoot them down. Then people in the West complain about why so much money is being spent on Ukraine and the war not changing. Because the West is wasting more money to shoot down the missiles instead of destroying factories for 1/100th of the cost. If this was Israel, the US would’ve bombed every single Iranian missile factory by now, with hundreds of their own Tomahawk missiles and B-2 bombers, but because the US appeases Russia for the past 3 decades, they are okay with allowing the #1 missile threat to NATO and Ukraine to continue growing at an alarming rate.

Russia carried out new strikes with Shahed/Geran-type long-range OWA-UAVs on the Ternivka coal mine located in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk Oblast tonight.
Follows a Russian attack on Sunday on a bus carrying miners, as a result of which at least 15 workers of the Ternivka mine have been killed.

@denmes: If you count directly from Vovchansk, then yes, but east of it, you have areas controlled by UA, some forests, and then its actually closer, within range
From what I reckon, remember, there isn't that much RU activity in that sector, so IMO it's plausible that UA artillery could operate from there.

And there is an even darker story than this.
There is a pattern of American companies exploiting Ukrainian partners, extracting intellectual property, and then attempting to monetize it - and in some cases selling it back to Ukraine.

really interesting insight from ukraine
a lot of hyped, venture funded defense companies ship their “best” products, then never show up in country. when things break, nothing gets fixed and the gear gets abandoned
meanwhile the teams are comfy back in america…
