Although Peskov didn't directly acknowledge that, there are signs that the Russians have actually agreed to Trump's request on halting strikes against Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
Here's a comment from the Fighter-bomber channel affiliated with the Russian Air Force:
"We've shown our weakness. We've shown that we can be bent to their will. We've shown that we can back down. We've done nothing else. Oh, we've shown that the Ukrainians and Trump aren't bullshit artists and sometimes tell the truth. And we should listen to them."
