The Ukrainian city of Dnipro came under attack of Russian Shahed/Geran-type long-range strike drones on Thursday.

One of the drones impacted a multi-storey residential building.

RT @RALee85: "Two individuals handled by Russia's military intelligence have been detained by the counterintelligence wing of Ukraine's Security Service for assisting in assessing the aftermath of an Oreshnik missile strike on civilian infrastructure facilities in Lviv Oblast on the night of 8-9 January 2026.

Authorities have determined that follow-up intelligence gathering after the strike was conducted by a 64-year-old man from Mukachevo, recruited remotely by Russian secret services, and his 22-year-old unemployed male neighbour.

Security Service officers have determined that, following instructions from Russian intelligence, the younger man travelled from Zakarpattia Oblast to Lviv Oblast after the attack. He made multiple visits to locations in the missile strike area, photographing them and noting their coordinates on Google Maps.

Unlike 2023, Western leaders are no longer focused on Ukraine winning and stopping Russia. They are focused on making sure Ukraine barely survives and begging Russia to end the war

@Nalikill: Exactly, they weren’t focused on helping Ukraine win either, but in 2023 aid was significant. It wasn’t only ammunition. Ukraine was being sent Tanks, IFVs, Armed Vehicles, and Long-Range Missiles. Today, nothing is sent by the US, and Europe still isn’t motivated to stop Russia.
