The adversary sees value in this and is increasing production. 643 missiles were contracted for 2025. This is the second-largest production missile (1st place – Kh-101).
Talking about the “uninterceptability” of the missile is meaningless, as this should be assessed in specific areas where air defense systems are deployed.

Ukrainian channels report about possible first known use of an upgraded version of the Russian Iskander-M ballistic missile - "Iskander-I/1000" (unofficial name) - during Russian strikes on Ukraine tonight.
The missile (or missiles) was said to fly over 600km before hitting a target (or targets) in Ukraine's Vinnytsia Oblast.
Not fully confirmed yet.
