The @BackAndAlive Foundation
has modernized 16 “Shilka” air defence systems for the National Guard of Ukraine.
What was upgraded:
•outdated radar detection stations were replaced with modern, multifunctional ones;
•the analog fire-control computing system was replaced with a digital one;
•a navigation system, converters, and additional modern components were installed.
As a result, target processing time was reduced from 18 seconds to just 0.2 seconds, while the maximum detection range more than doubled. Previously, the Shilka could track only one target at a time — now it can track up to 20 simultaneously. https://twitter.com/BackAndAlive/status/2001993529107599567#m
