❗️Today Russians launched another large-scale mechanized assault on the Ocheretyne axis.
Oct 16 — Dobropillia (Ocheretyne axis):
Russians conducted a large-scale attack with 22 armored vehicles on positions in the area of responsibility of @azov_media, aiming to capture Shakhove.
Results of Ukraine’s defense:
• Destroyed: 9 armored vehicles
• Damaged: 4 armored vehicles
Between 05:30 and 08:00, the enemy pushed forward 22 armored vehicles, including a main column of 11 tanks and IFVs advancing from the Malynivka area.
The enemy tried to change its approach — on Oct 15, they moved armored vehicles closer to Shakhove and attempted to conceal them in a tree line.
The maneuver failed: two vehicles were detected and destroyed by Ukrainian artillery and FPV drones before reaching cover. Russian forces also deployed observation posts to detect and target Ukrainian UAVs.
