@Murray_Brewster: The Government of Canada does not negotiate a contract directly with Lockheed Martin. This is a Foreign Military Sales case. We sign a contract with the United States Government and they sign a contract with Lockheed Martin on our behalf.

RT @RALee85: Drone warfare has not lessened the requirements for physical fitness or toughness for infantry and many other specialties. Ukrainian infantry often have to walk up to 10 kilometers just to reach the front line and often spend months at a time on the zero line without rotation. UAS crews often have to walk long distances with heavy equipment as well. Poor physical fitness remains a liability in combat.

RT @manniefabian: The Israeli Navy has boarded several of the Global Sumud Flotilla's vessels and detained the activists aboard, the Foreign Ministry says.

The ministry shares a video showing an Israeli soldier handing Swedish campaigner Greta Thunberg her belongings.

"Already several vessels of the Hamas-Sumud flotilla have been safely stopped and their passengers are being transferred to an Israeli port. Greta and her friends are safe and healthy," the ministry says.

@Lucvend @Murray_Brewster: Congress isn't shutdown. If they were then there would be no way out of the shutdown. The sale having reached this stage means that their informal approval was already granted, they don't need to make another positive affirmation; the review period just allows for possible objections.

"The U.S. will provide Ukraine with intelligence for long-range missile strikes on Russia’s energy infrastructure, American officials said, as the Trump administration weighs sending Kyiv powerful weapons that could put in range more targets within Russia.

President Trump recently signed off on allowing intelligence agencies and the Pentagon to aid Kyiv with the strikes. U.S. officials are asking North Atlantic Treaty Organization allies to provide similar support, these people said...

The U.S. is also weighing deliveries of Tomahawks and Barracudas and other American-made ground- and air-launched missiles that have ranges of around 500 miles, other administration officials said."

🇺🇸🇺🇦 #BREAKING: The United States will provide Ukraine with intelligence for long-range strikes on Russia’s energy infrastructure, American officials told WSJ.

The decision has been approved by US President Trump. Washington is also asking NATO allies to aid Kyiv with similar support.

The Trump administration is also considering the deliveries of Tomahawk and Barracuda-M cruise missiles to Ukraine.

🇺🇸🇺🇦 This is a significant policy shift from the Trump Admin, if WSJ's reporting is correct.

A very dramatic reversal of Bridge enforcing a de facto ban on such strikes, which had been tepidly approved by the Biden Admin.

If additional long range munitions make their way to Ukraine, one way or another, it would be even more significant.

🇺🇸🇨🇦🇦🇺🇪🇪 This case makes 80 HIMARS approved for Foreign Military Sale in just the last week. For comparison, Lockheed Martin can build 96 per year.

The unprecedented demand for HIMARS continues to escalate. https://twitter.com/ColbyBadhwar/status/1973496723759636712#m
