@franfran2424: It is also possible that it was a group of three Russian helicopters, including a Mi-28, which is why they misidentified it.

I agree. Artillery and UAS have been the two primary casualty producing weapons in this war (first artillery and now UAS), and not small arms, which SAPI plates are designed to stop (and weigh down infantrymen). Body armor for this combat environment should cover more exposed parts of the neck, shoulders and torso with soft armor.

RT @JacquiHeinrich: President Trump has authorized long-range strikes into Russia, Special Envoy to Ukraine General Keith Kellogg says -- but occasionally Ukraine has not been granted authority by the Pentagon to carry them out.

KELLOGG: "Everybody should follow what the President says. He's the Commander in Chief, by the Constitution, and everybody falls in line. When the President doesn't go left, you go left. If he says you go right, you right. That's the President. The last lot checked, none of us got electoral college votes, he did. So when the president said to do something, we just need to do that and complete the action."

HEINRICH: "Are you saying, though, that it is the President's position that Ukraine can conduct long-range strikes into Russia, that that has been authorized by the President?"

KELLOGG: "I think reading what he has said, and reading what Vice President Vance has said as well as Secretary Rubio, the answer is yes. Use the ability...

Ukrainian forces managed to shoot down a Russian Mil Mi-8 helicopter with an FPV drone.

The drone impacted the helicopter head on, causing it to catch fire and crash shortly thereafter.

@UkrReview: The US has over 14,000 Tomahawk, JASSM/ER, JASSM, ATACMS, LRASM, PRSM, and SLAM-ER missiles. China has thousands but nowhere near 14,000.

There is no specific amount needed for China, China is a massive country, some could argue that even a million missiles is not enough. US has enough missiles to strike over 400 Chinese factories with 25 missiles each, strike each one of China’s major naval and air bases with 50 missiles each, launch 1,000 missiles at China’s command centers, and a 1,000 missiles on China’s air defenses. That’s what the US has today, in a couple of years, the US will have over 20,000 long range missiles.

Those missiles alone would do massive irreversible damage for years to China’s military. This does not include what US could do to China’s navy at sea with LRASMs, or with ERAMs, or what US could do with B-21s and B-2s, or economically, or what other countries in the region militarily could do to China, or what the rest of NATO could do to China, or what the US economically could do to China.
