I agree. Artillery and UAS have been the two primary casualty producing weapons in this war (first artillery and now UAS), and not small arms, which SAPI plates are designed to stop (and weigh down infantrymen). Body armor for this combat environment should cover more exposed parts of the neck, shoulders and torso with soft armor.

I am of the strong opinion that NATO standards and norms around helmets and body armor should reflect the weapons that define modern warfare - airburst munitions, drone attacks, etc.
