RT @P_Kallioniemi: Vance: “If you want to stop political violence, stop telling your supporters that everyone who disagrees with you is a Nazi.”

Also Vance: "Trump is America's Hitler."

@walberque: Also something to have in mind and something I have mentioned on other occasions.

What I'm a bit concerned about now is the belief that shooting down someone will magically solve the problem, it didn't for Turkey in 2015, and that the Russians won't retaliate in some way.

@walberque @NATO: I think the UAVs over Poland were handled rather well. The decision to engage was a significant event in my book, and reinforcements via Eastern Sentry a correct follow-up.

If hard action becomes necessary, we need to be ready for Russian retaliation and also have an idea of how to break an escalatory spiral.

@ostap @walberque @NATO: Like it or not, escalation management will always be a feature when dealing with Russia, short of in a full strategic nuclear exchange.

That applies today, in a potential real crisis and even if war breaks out.

Tigran Keosayan one of the country’s most notorious propagandists, has died at the age of 59.

Keosayan, the husband of RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan, in recent years became far more recognized as a vocal advocate of Kremlin policies and disinformation campaigns. Made with Love!”, and hosted political talk shows that amplified state narratives.

He suggested that Alaska should secede from the United States and join Russia. He also referred to Ukrainians as “enemies,” claiming they could only become “brothers again” after Russia’s victory and “rehabilitation.”

Keosayan was sanctioned by the European Union, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Western governments cited his active role in spreading toxic propaganda that justified Moscow’s...

Since it's in the wind with the footage of the Ropucha-class LST Aleksandr Shabalin:

Only a handful of Russian warships tend to transmit on AIS and these few only do so very occasionally.

Most never transmit and have never done so. Ropucha's are in this group.

Avoiding public detection does NOT say anything about what the professionals know or don't know.

All this said, thanks to Extrabladet for flying out and getting us footage of Shabalin.
