This means that nefarious activities make up a very small percentage of the total. Mostly it's people unfamiliar with- or disregarding the rules and regulations.

Norwegian airports have UAV detection systems but details aren't public.

Another Russian official has been found dead in Moscow.

The body of Alexander Fedotov, former chairman of the St. Petersburg Committee for Transport Infrastructure Development, was discovered in the Moscow region. Russian media claim he committed suicide. He was discovered yesterday under the windows of the Sheraton Hotel at Sheremetyevo Airport.

I doubt a single shoot down in itself will trigger war, but I also doubt the Russians will take it on the chin, so if we end up splashing a Russian plane, we need to be ready for what could come next.

Western and Russian logic tend to be different when it comes to such things.
