Since it's in the wind:
Suspect we have had (at least?) two Northern Fleet subs on patrol in the Greenland- / Norwegian Sea / down to GIUK area since late July and that these now have been tracking north for a while.
Best bet is an Akula-class SSN and a Yasen-class SSGN.

The meeting between a Russian Sukhoi fighter jet and U.S. Navy Boeing P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft/ASW plane over the Black Sea. Video reportedly from today.
The P-8A is equipped with the AN/APS-154 Advanced Airborne Sensor multifunctional AESA radar, deployed under its belly.
