The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) executed a second attack, reportedly with a tank, at the Nasser Medical Complex in southern Gaza during rescue operations following a first strike.

The initial attack hit the fourth floor of the hospital, and the second attack occurred shortly afterward as rescue workers and journalists arrived at the scene.

This second attack killed additional people, including rescuers and journalists, resulting in at least 20 fatalities.

The IDF stated it regrets any harm to civilians and does not intentionally target journalists.

A military inquiry was ordered immediately by the IDF Chief of Staff.
