@JayinKyiv: It’s also important to understand that the Trump administration didn’t just block “30 missiles” — it halted the entire U.S. aid package that had already been approved.
The 30 Patriot missiles often mentioned were just a small part of the stockpile which was already in Poland and prepared for rapid delivery to Ukraine.
But the real impact of the Trump administration’s decision to freeze military aid is a complete halt in the delivery of many hundreds more Patriot missiles, along with tens of thousands — if not more — of other critical weapons systems that had already been contracted with manufacturers specifically for Ukraine. This wasn’t just about a few dozen missiles — it was a broad and far-reaching shutdown of a major flow of military support.
And the 10 Patriot missiles that the Trump administration eventually approved shouldn’t be compared just against 30 that were already in Poland — they should be measured against the entire scale of military aid that was halted.

RT @AirPowerNEW1: US Navy's FY26 budget docs reveal that the service was able to procure 374 ESSM Blk 2 missiles in FY25 vs 350 planned. The additional buys were due to a lower than anticipated unit cost. The service has requested 305 ESSM Blk 2 AURs in FY26 at a cost of $1.35 MM per missile. The ESSM Blk 2 Missile is the latest ESSM variant having achieved IOC in December 2021. Besides upgrading from an 8" to a 10" guidance section, Blk. 2 adds a Standard Missile 6 derived active RF seeker while still retaining the Semi-active guidance ability of the block 1 variant.
