On the night of July 5, operators of the @14reg_army of the Unmanned Systems Forces carried out a strike on the “VNIIRE Progress” facility in the city of Cheboksary, Chuvash Republic, russia — approximately 1,000 km from Ukraine’s state border.
The enterprise specializes in the production of “Kometa” navigation modules, which are resistant to electronic warfare interference. These modules are installed by the enemy on Kalibr, Kh-69, Iskander-M, S8000 “Banderol” missiles, as well as on Shahed, Orlan-10, and Forpost drones. The “Kometa” module is also part of UMPK (Universal Gliding and Correction Modules) used by russian forces to convert conventional aerial bombs into high-precision guided munitions.
A UAV strike in the target area was recorded, resulting in a fire. The outcome of the #DeepStrike is being clarified.
