Nearly everything about the Russian Orthodox church in the Swedish town of Västerås appears suspicious, journalists report — from its close location to a military airport and a steeple built taller than originally planned, to the extremely rare church services due to the absence of parishioners and its priest who was awarded a medal by Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR). Swedish security services also believe that the church’s appearance near the airport is no coincidence and warn that Moscow is most likely using it for espionage and other hostile activities.

But Western missile defense cannot keep pace with Russia’s missile production - across all categories. Trying to win that race puts us on the losing side.

The best course is to enable Ukraine to return the punishment tenfold.

That should also be Europe’s response to Russia’s missile buildup: embrace a conventional countervalue posture and aim thousands of cruise and ballistic missiles at every high-value target west of Kazan.
