The level of misinformation and disinformation surrounding the Israel-Iran conflict is once again astonishing.
We are seeing everything from unrelated footage from Pakistan, to recycled videos from the October 2024 strikes—some of which have amassed over 20 million views—as well as game clips and AI-generated content being passed off as real events.
Please remain vigilant against misinformation and disinformation, much of which is spread by so-called “engagement farmers” who are primarily seeking attention, sometimes as a way to gain money.
Most known spreaders of dis-/misinformation are accounts like Lord Bebo (@MyLordBebo), Syrian Girl (@Partisangirl), (Sprinter) @SprinterObserve, Jackson Hinkle @jacksonhinklle and @WarMonitors.
They know that you can't disprove something that doesn't exist, and that it takes much more time to debunk a lie than to spread it.
