🇨🇦🇺🇦 Up to $2 billion in new military aid to Ukraine
As part of a $8.2 billion CAD increase to the Department of National Defence's budget that was announced today with the release of Supplemental Appropriations estimates, there will be $2 billion for security cooperation, including military aid to Ukraine.
"Canada will continue to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its fight against Russia’s invasion. Aid will support the acquisition of drones, armoured combat support vehicles, pilot training, ammunition, small arms, vehicles, and other equipment. This funding will also be used to expand cooperation with international partners related to military training, defence policy, and intelligence."
Hopefully we will see a very substantial number of vehicles from both GDLS-C & Roshel put on contract for Ukraine. This is the most useful thing that we can contribute to them in the short-medium term.

There is invariably a discrepancy between what NATO assesses each member's defense spending to be and what each members assesses their own spending to be for this reason. NATO's definition of defense spending, which was last updated years ago, is typically more expansive than each member's own criteria.
