Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, who heads Ukraine’s delegation in negotiations with Russia, stated that the agreements reached in Istanbul provide for a phased return of specific categories of prisoners of war:
◾️Severely wounded
◾️Servicemen with serious illnesses
◾️Young soldiers under the age of 25
"This is just the beginning. The process will continue in the coming days. Negotiations are ongoing. Work is also underway on an extremely sensitive and painful issue — the large-scale repatriation of the bodies of fallen soldiers. We are talking about bringing home, ‘on a shield’ over 6,000 Ukrainian defenders who gave their lives for Ukraine’s freedom. This process is also part of the agreements," he added.

🇨🇦🇺🇦 Up to $2 billion in new military aid to Ukraine
As part of a $8.2 billion CAD increase to the Department of National Defence's budget that was announced today with the release of Supplemental Appropriations estimates, there will be $2 billion for security cooperation, including military aid to Ukraine.
"Canada will continue to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its fight against Russia’s invasion. Aid will support the acquisition of drones, armoured combat support vehicles, pilot training, ammunition, small arms, vehicles, and other equipment. This funding will also be used to expand cooperation with international partners related to military training, defence policy, and intelligence."
Hopefully we will see a very substantial number of vehicles from both GDLS-C & Roshel put on contract for Ukraine. This is the most useful thing that we can contribute to them in the short-medium term.
