This is the second joint venture Roshel enters in to localise production of its Senator family of vehicles having signed a similar agreement with the Ukrainian UKROBORONPROM last February.

According to one version, the man who approached Mayor Zaur Gurtsiev could have been his acquaintance.
It is speculated that an explosive device might have been put in his bag without his knowledge and activated remotely as he met with Gurtsiev.
