RT @GrangerE04117: 1st Quarter movements and status of Russian Navy major surface vessels.

A lot of vessels are just anchored in their piers (Peter the Great, Nastoychivyy).

While the Gorshkovs and Steregushchiys are doing a lot of long-distance deployments. Which makes the bulk of VMF movements

Unsurprising.

Capability is one thing, the other side is lack of will, called "high risk" here.

For a larger deployment to Ukraine, one has to be ready to go to war with Russia if it comes down to it, and no Western countries, in the past or now, are willing to do so.

@Capt_Navy: In my opinion, these discussions were detached from reality from the beginning, unless the Western countries in question were ready to approach the war in a completely different manner, which was and is unlikely.

Therefore it is good that the risks are acknowledged.

@Capt_Navy @Coup_de_tat1954: I think you are correct on that one.

If the current negotiations process fails, there will be new attempts later, and they will likely look rather similar.

There is still work to be done to reach FOC, live firings are needed too, but getting the first missiles delivered as the aircraft delivery has been completed is a big milestone.
