🚢Vessel Arrested in the Black Sea for Smuggling Ukrainian Grain from Occupied Crimea

A joint operation by Ukraine’s Maritime Border Guard (State Border Guard Service) and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has resulted in the arrest of a vessel in the Black Sea that was illegally transporting Ukrainian grain from Russian-occupied Crimea. The operation was conducted as part of a broader effort to counter economic crimes committed by the Russian Federation.

According to the investigation, in late 2024 the ship delivered approximately 5,000 tons of Ukrainian wheat from the port of Sevastopol. The grain had been seized from the temporarily occupied territories in southern Ukraine. In an attempt to conceal the true origin of the cargo, the vessel was operating under the flag of an Asian country—part of Russia’s so-called “shadow fleet” used to bypass international sanctions and scrutiny.

@cym27s: Ukraine reported 68.5% (48 of 70 missiles) were intercepted last night. That means 22 missiles hit. That’s a lot, as well as 13 Shaheds hit, totaling 35 hits in one night. This does not include damage from downed missile or UAV debris either. Regardless, it was one of the worst missile interceptions rates for a large scale missile attack during the entire war

If they lied, they’d be saying like 0-4 hits the whole night with the evidence presented. Ukraine has air defenses, but there is a shortage of Patriot air defense systems, and a shortage of good quality PAC-3 Patriot air defense missiles.

For example, Kyiv has at least 1 to 2 operational Patriot systems in the city, but have not been sent PAC-3 missiles, in a while, and get sent a small amount of PAC-2s by Europe. Meaning they can shoot down Iskander-M missiles, however, not all of them. Theoretically, Patriot can shoot down dozens of Iskander-M missiles, but it is not that simple....

🚗💥Car Explosion in Bryansk: Leading Russian Designer of Krasukha Electronic Warfare Systems Killed

In Bryansk, Russia, the car of Russian designer Evgeny Ritikov exploded. Ritikov, a key figure in the development of modern Russian electronic warfare (EW) systems, was the head of the design bureau at the Bryansk Electromechanical Plant.

The plant is renowned for its work on creating EW and electronic reconnaissance systems, including the Krasukha series, used by the Russian army.

The explosion took place during the night of April 17-18. But the results become known only now. Ritikov’s car detonated when he and a colleague entered it. It is believed that the second victim, who also perished in the blast, may have been either the deputy head of the design bureau or Ritikov's assistant.
