@John_ForemanCBE: It might be unpopular, not seen as the morally right position, it's not the best outcome for Ukraine (or others close to Russia) but Ukraine liberating substantial amounts of occupied territory has been unlikely for a long time.

It is probably very necessary to move beyond the "concessions debate", which in the grand scheme of things likely will accomplish very little, and look at what I say below instead.

If Europe wants to change the current trajectory of both where the war has been heading for a while now, and on whatever Trump set in motion yesterday, we need to quickly come up with a real alternative strategy, with clear objectives and resource it accordingly.
