The Belarusian military started operating the Berkut-3 drone

In late November, state media released a story about “novelties of domestic weapons.” It became known that the 927th center for training and use of UAVs (military unit 97085) received the Berkut-3 reconnaissance drone of Belarusian production.

The Berkut-3 tactical short-range reconnaissance UAV is designed for aerial reconnaissance. The range is up to 50 km, flight duration – up to 3 hours. The drone features automatic transfer of information to the 1V12-1AB Tsenturion artillery fire control vehicles, which shortens the combat cycle of artillery units.

In April 2024, the State Authority for Military Industry reported that Berkut-3 was accepted for supply to the Belarusian Armed Forces. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus to hold a training session with “volunteers” before the “election”?

According to Belarusian Hajun, it’s planned to conduct a regular training session with “volunteer” units of the MIA starting from January 21, 2025. These units consist of employees and reserve servicemen who previously served in specialrces units of the Internal Troops and internal affairs bodies.

It’s notable the time of the beginning of the training session is January 21 (Tuesday). Recall that the so-called “presidential election” is to be held in Belarus on January 26 (Sunday). It was probably decided to mobilize all available reserves to help the securityrces during the “election.”

It’s unknown whether the “volunteers” will be involved in the work at polling stations.
