Around half of USA’s imports of Advanced Semiconductors Chips come from Taiwan, it would seriously jeopardize US national security. US should help defend its allies, part of the weakness the US has is leading or other countries like China and Russia escalating. The people of Taiwan do not want to be part of China, what part of that do you not understand?
If you want to know what it feels like to not have freedom, leave the US and go live in North Korea, and very quickly you will under what you’re dealing with.

The debris is still being cleared, and there may still be people trapped under the ruins.

More air defence for Ukraine = more innocent lives saved.
