So far, Russian sources are confused whether it was Ka-52 or Ka-27.

RT @deaidua: Small update on the delivery of Lynx IFVs to #Ukraine. In an interview with WELT AM SONNTAG, Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger once again confirmed that the first (batch) delivery of Lynx IFVs to Ukraine will include exactly 10 vehicles (delivery starts this year).

While he puts Ukraine's total needs at 3,000 vehicles, he confirms once again that nothing has yet been decided regarding further deliveries, as it is still unclear who will pay how much.

Here I would like to point out once again that if the German government does not decide to allocate extra funds in the budget for military aid in 2025 during the budget negotiations by mid-November, Ukraine will have to finance contracts itself using the billions in loans from the G7 and the EU financed from the profits of the frozen Russian assets (which sounds bad but this is what they were made for).

🇺🇸🇹🇼 It is odd that Taiwan is procuring NASAMS 3 Fire Units but with the old MPQ-64F1 Sentinel radars for NASAMS 2, rather than newer radars like the A3 Sentinel, A4 Sentinel or GhostEye MR. F1 may not even have the detection range to make full use of AMRAAM-ER's range against supersonic air breathing targets. https://twitter.com/ColbyBadhwar/status/1849984597297074533#m

Western Europeans say this louder than anyone else but only make very modest increases in defense spending. Eastern Europe on the other hand makes very substantial increases, but is largely ignored by Western Europe and the current Admin in the United States. https://twitter.com/DaveKeating/status/1849915556335407543#m

@cym27s: Is there a list of targets that Israel hit in Iran, and how many missiles they used. What I got from some research was that Israel struck 2 air defense systems in Iran with ALBM, at least 1 in Tehran.

Is that all Israel hit? Was there more? Becuase that’s kind of a weak response

@ehhsomething75 @cym27s @amanteros: I mean there has been a ton of strikes with ATACMS by Ukraine and it wasn’t just one system, or a lucky strike, they destroyed like 5 or more good air defense systems with ATACMS, usually with multiple missiles.

ALBMs are not the same as ATACMS, but have similarities. And I am not saying ATACMS is 100% effective or doesn’t get shot down, but Ukraine is only allow to use it in a limited area basically Crimea and part of Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Luhansk. They were also given a small amount of ATACMS, around 200 missiles over the course of a year. Or which over 100 missiles are confirmed to have hit, and 150-200 launched. If Ukraine was allowed to strike Russia which is like 3 times the area they can strike in Ukraine, that area is much less densely populated with air defenses and has hundreds of important military targets, then the damage would be much greater. Ukraine has hit a ton of military targets in Crimea with ATACMS including nearly every major air base in Crimea, ammunition depots, naval ships, ports, Iskander launchers, a wide variety of radars, oil depots, communications systems, satellite communications centers, MiG-31s, helicopters, and air defense systems.

But ALBMs would be much more effective if they are accurate since they are much faster going at 6-10 Mach, and are harder to shoot down. The real question is how many does Israel have, like Russia does not have many Kinzhals, they have used around 120-130 during the entire 2.5 years of war.

@WarVehicle: Ukraine can shoot down many Shahed drones but they do not have nearly the amount of air defenses to protect against them effectively or even protect Patriot systems against Reconnaissance Drones

It should be a top priority by US to supply Ukraine more air defenses against UAVs
