Aviation activity of the Russian Aerospace Forces increased again: 5 aircraft in a month
According to our data, in September, the aviation activity of the Russian Aerospace Forces increased almost two-fold compared to August. This is primarily due to a number of CIS events held in Minsk.
Russian aircraft arrived at the following Belarusian airfields and airports during the month:
• Machulishchy airfield – 2 An-148, 1 Tu-154;
• Baranavichy airfield – 1 An-12;
• Homiel airport – 1 An-12.
The aviation group of the Russian Aerospace Forces, which is permanently stationed in Belarus, currently consists of only 4 Su-30SM fighters based at Baranavichy airfield.

A group of the Belarusian Armed Forces deployed on the border with Ukraine: How many and what units?
In September, the group of the Belarusian Armed Forces, which had been increased after Lukashenka’s statements in August, continued to be deployed in the area bordering Ukraine.
According to Belarusian Hajun, as of the beginning of October, the following forces were stationed on the border with Ukraine:
• the 339th Separatenized Battalion of the 120thnized Brigade (≈350 people);
• the 355th Separate Tank Battalion of the 120thnized Brigade (≈150 people);
• the 357th Separate Parachute-Airborne Battalion of the 103rd Airborne Brigade (≈300 people);
• the 382nd Separate Air Assault Battalion of the 38th Air Assault Brigade (≈300 people);
• the combined artillery divizion of the 38th Air Assault Brigade (≈50 people);
• units of the 5th Special Forces Brigade.

@AntiKacapBerto @giK1893 @GeoConfirmed @UAControlMap: It depends on what resources both sides are able to throw at it vis-à-vis needs elsewhere. Both sides report a lack of troops, but UAF are on the backfoot in so many other places.
If UAF pull out of the exposed northern parts of the salient so as to shorten the lines and concentrate defences around defendable terrain (upper Snagost river and then Loknya river to the NW of Sudzha and forests to the SE) then I think the agglomeration around Sudzha is defendable.
