@escortert: AIM-9X Block II can be fired surface-to-air by NASAMS 3. NASAMS was designed to fire AIM-120, which is also an air-to-air missile.

❗🇺🇲🇦🇪 The US State Department has approved a possible Foreign Military Sale to the UAE of 259 M31A1 Unitary GMLRS Pods (1554 missiles) and 203 M57 ATACMS, plus associated equipment and services for an estimated cost of $1.2 billion.
The prime contractor would be Lockheed Martin.
"The description and dollar value are for the highest estimated quantity and dollar value based on initial requirements. Actual dollar value will be lower depending on final requirements, budget authority, and signed sales agreement(s), if and when concluded."

▶️ 220 AIM-9X Block II Sidewinder missiles, plus associated equipment and services for an estimated cost of $251.8 million. The prime contractor would be Raytheon.
▶️ 10,000 M456 105mm HEAT-T tank cartridges, plus various other additional ammunition, associated equipment and services for an estimated cost of $139 million. This sale is from a combination of US Army stocks and new procurement from undetermined vendors.
