RT @UAControlMap: Daily Ukraine map thread for Friday 4th October 2024
Highlights: Russian assaults continue - geolocations towards Katerynivka continue, as do Russian advances near the Oskil west of Pischane which have not stopped after their disaster at the end of September.
Selydove and Hirnyk remain in serious trouble, and will likely fall over the course of October.
On the plus side, Russian mechanized losses were up during September compared to August, thanks to some large attacks near Hostre, Vovchansk and Pischane where Russia suffered large losses for incremental gains, but still not to the level they were in Spring.
Map shows the Vuhledar direction but note this will be changing as more geolocations come in.

RT @RFERL: The Russian military is making heavy use of glide bombs, large Soviet-era weapons, in attacks on Ukrainian cities. A Ukrainian explosives team was able to defuse one 500-kilogram bomb that fell short of the city of Zaporizhzhya, but other bombs have hit civilian targets recently.
