RT @RadioFreeTom: I've been thinking about this article, and have now read the full CSIS report. Eliot and Phillips make some important points about expertise. But the idea that the experts botched this at the beginning seems to me to be some unduly harsh revisionism. /1

One doesn't have to like it and I don't necessarily agree myself, but I do understand the US position and this assessment

The point about limited quantities of missiles is valid

Problem is, without accepting a bit more risk it will be hard to change the trajectory of the war

I think the risk of relaxing restrictions on long range strikes is manageable, but that doesn't mean there's no risk at all, as many seem to think.
Belarusian Hajun project (Twitter)

Yesterday, the media published a news under the headline “Belavia auctions its last Canadian-made plane.” It's about Bombardier CRJ-100 (EW-100PJ), which was put up for auction with a starting bid of $909,000. But is it really the last one?

The plane is 25+ years old and was regularly operated by Belavia until 2018. Previously, they had 4 more Canadian planes, 2 of which were returned to the lessor, one crashed in Armenia, and one was given to the Belarus State Aviation Academy.

But is it correct to call the EW-100PJ the last “Canadian” plane of Belavia? Not really. They forgot that Belavia is the operator (= owner) of another Bombardier plane – Challenger 850 (EW-301PJ).
