While tomorrow is the last day of Ocean Shield by official statements, it is possible this won't be the end of heightened Russian naval activity for this fall.

They have mostly operated close to home bases so far.

We might see them operate further out in the coming weeks.

In October, the Russians usually conduct their annual strategic nuclear forces exercise Grom, where the Navy with the SSBN fleet has an important role.

In the past years, Grom has been a muted affair but I wouldn't rule out a different approach this year.

@Shivak03: I will be a bit careful here but, IMO, there's a bit more uncertainty now than last year.

We do have the evolving Russian unconventional campaign, (sabotage etc) with Western intel saying they might be getting bolder.
