🇺🇸🇺🇦 The Department of Defense has realigned $550 million in previously reprogrammed replacement funds from the Ukraine Supplementals to procure JASSM-ERs, LRASMs and JSMs for the US Air Force.

This is to replace HARMs provided to Ukraine.

Funds were realigned from USN AARGM-ER procurement.

If the US does drawdown some "expired" AGM-158A baseline JASSMs to Ukraine, the USAF stands to get even more funding for new missiles.

@964BOO @John_A_Ridge: Presidential Drawdown Authority and the funds to replace the defense articles sent to Ukraine with that Drawdown Authority are completely independent of each other. The funding does not necessarily expire annually but the authority does, unless the drawdown is in execution.

After delivering multiple excavators to the Ukrainian Armed Forces and speaking with engineering units, I concluded that we need a more holistic approach.

Specifically, to help build fortifications for motivated units, we need to provide both transport and unloading equipment to offer a complete solution instead of just a simple digger. While an excavator alone is important and solves many issues, pairing it with a truck equipped with a manipulator arm can be a force multiplier.

This combination can not only deliver the excavator itself but also quickly unload fortification materials such as logs, concrete structures, and metal brackets...
