@GregAlford18: The Ukrainian MoD isn't stupid enough to ask to buy Apaches. They know what their urgent requirements are and it's not advanced attack helicopters. They would be immediately downed by Pantsirs.

@SteamAem: In a perfect world yes. In reality, there are constraints in available authority and appropriations to support security assistance, and opportunity costs apply to Ukraine's own resources as well. It's not as simple as just give them everything.

@NAFOConnoisseur @ihorhrubyak @Zagonel85: Also, it’s important to know that people in cities like Dnipro, Kharkiv, Melitopol, and Odesa speak Russian, that in no way means they want to be part of Russia. None of them want to be part of Russia, they are Ukrainian, they were just raised speaking Russian.

"One Ukrainian artillery brigade commander in eastern Ukraine told the Financial Times that part of the reason for the Russian advance was Kyiv moving its scarce resources north.
His troops were back to rationing shells for their canons — the first time since US aid to Ukraine was held up by Congress — because ammunition had been reallocated for the incursion into Russia’s Kursk region." @ChristopherJM

@jacob_mowat: No. There does not seem to be any desire to replace the M777s. Army is in the midst of a debate on the merits of tracked vs wheeled SPGs. Towed seems to be out.

@bayraktar_1love: Ukraine 🇺🇦 needs more Bradleys, Strykers, JDAMs, Patriots, and Long Range Missiles. What is the US waiting for? Now is when they should be increasing military aid to Ukraine to the most ever so Ukraine can make significant gains but they are sending small packages 3 times a month

@front_ukrainian: I can assure everyone that there are plenty of strikes that are not reported every day; these reports are nightly or early morning combined strikes. Ukraine needs more Patriots, NASAMS, IRIS-T, Avenger, and Hawk systems because targets are being hit and air defense aid is lacking

@ukraine_map @front_ukrainian: It’s severely lacking. Ukraine has 2 Patriots outside of Kyiv for the entire country. This means every Iskander launched in the vast majority of the country is not being shot down; it’s hitting its intended target, sometimes off by a margin. With a handful of additional Patriot systems and missiles, Ukraine would not be losing fighter jets, critical infrastructure, factory buildings, and other non-anti-ballistic air defense systems in several places. It would help a lot, but the West has significantly decreased aid to Ukraine compared to earlier in the war, specifically USA and several European Countries. Counter UAV systems are severely lacking; drones can fly over large cities and essential targets like air-bases and guide islanders, guided missiles, and GMLRS toward targets far from the frontlines.

These drones, for the most part, are not being shot down and remain above important targets for an extensive period, allowing for missiles to strike fighter jets, air defense launchers, radars, ammunition depots, factories, command centers, and HIMARS launchers killing or seriously injuring valuable trained Ukrainian soldiers in many cases.

@bigwaters99 @NAFOConnoisseur @ihorhrubyak @Zagonel85: Of course, in cities and in villages it’s very different. Like in the cities of Dnipro, Kharkiv, and Odesa and several other big cities people speak Russian, they know Ukrainian and want to be part of Ukraine, in the villages/towns outside of the city, they mainly speak Ukrainian

Video reportedly of Ukraine's 95th Air Assault Brigade fighting in Kursk oblast. The description says this shows Marder IFV fire, which might indicate it is with the 82nd Air Assault Brigade.

@TylerKaku: Kari Lake, a popular Maga candidate in 2022, ran for Governor. The polls showed she was up by 2.4% on election night. She ended up losing the election by 0.70%. President Biden, Senator Sinema, and Senator Kelly, all Democrats won their election. Harris is up ~1% in Arizona today
