@ObiViktoriya: This is very significant because Russia has lost over half of its logistics to the area in the past week. They entirely lost logistics via land when Korenovo was reached, and if the remaining two bridges were destroyed, Russia would have no logistics to the area.

The only way Russia could access that 670km2 of land again in the Kursk Region would be to build 40 to 50-meter Pontoon Bridges, which would be sabotaged and more easily destroyed by Ukrainian Forces.

Multiple US officials tell CNN they aren't concerned about escalation, they just want Ukraine to focus on Crimea because they have a limited number of ATACMS.

How stupid do they think we are? 1200 expired missiles in inventory, 500 new ones coming off the production line. There are more than enough.

The Administration, including the President himself, has said countless times on the record that they are concerned about escalation. Do they really think we're going to buy this?

@cym27s: Ukraine has been using HIMARS constantly from Sumy since they started the offensive. Ukraine losing 2 HIMARS does not mean much; it is expected for such an offensive, considering they have 20 more HIMARS available, 16 M270s, with 20 additional HIMARS being delivered, losing 2 HIMARS is not that big of a problem. The US will replace them one way or another.

This also just happened a couple of hours ago; no HIMARS has been proven as destroyed since then or tied the same to the destruction of the bridge; the videos of the potential destruction of HIMARS were released 10 hours ago, likely occurring during the day yesterday or the day before. Ukraine likely has many more HIMARS in the Sumy Region constantly firing.

@squatsons: That’s cope to say Ukraine lost HIMARS over the bridges, there is nothing tying those specific strikes together. Ukraine has been using HIMARS in Sumy since the start of the offensive constantly. It is expected for them to lose HIMARS since they are on the offensive and need to bring many of then closer to the frontline in one region.

Ukraine has at least 20 HIMARS remaining, 16 M270s, and an additional 1-20 HIMARS more that have been ordered and some may have been delivered. Even with a loss of HIMARS, Ukraine likely has many more HIMARS still firing in the Sumy area, and losses would be replaced. We already know you’d be claiming it is a massive victory for Russia if they destroyed logistics to an entire 670km2 of the frontline in Ukraine, regardless of MLRS losses.
