/2. This Russian Uragan MLRS is based on BAZ-69092 chassis, instead of the usual ZIL-135LM. For the first time, Uragan on the BAZ chassis was spotted back in 2020.

RT @russianforces: @maxseddon @xtophercook: Yes, the capability is there. But it doesn't mean that weapons are on surface ships. There is no "despite a 1991 deal" (which wasn't a deal, in fact). US has raised concerns about compliance with some of the 1991 promises, but never about surface ships

@NOELreports: GeoConfirmed UKR.

Heavy fighting in the Gir'i area, (Kursk Oblast, Russia) has led to the loss of several Ukrainian BTR-4E armored vehicles.
This situation highlights the intensity of the conflict, with Ukrainian forces actively engaged approximately 20 kilometers east of Sudzha, proving the expanding AO, and also indicating a significant commitment of resources to this 'Kursk' operation. This is not a minor offensive but rather a substantial military effort.

Ukraine Battle Map (Twitter)

@Henrique_f_a_f @Maks_NAFO_FELLA: It’s around 100 batteries of SAMP-T and Patriot amongst all NATO countries. US has at least 500 Patriot launchers alone. The missiles are also not a problem, US has at least 8,000 to over 9,000 PAC-2/PAC-3 missiles, that’s not including European Countries or increasing production
Ukraine Battle Map (Twitter)

@ukraine_map @Henrique_f_a_f @Maks_NAFO_FELLA: NATO has around 90 to 95 currently operating SAMP-T and Patriot batteries, with about +15 additional Patriot systems or more on order. About 5 of those will be sent to Ukraine, but there is no reason NATO can’t sent 5 to 10 more systems to Ukraine so they can properly be defended

RT @GuyPlopsky: Interesting photo, posted on the Aviahub Telegram channel earlier today, showing an OFZAB-500 - fitted with what appears to be an UMPK kit - under the port wing of a VKS Su-34. Confirms that UMPK-equipped OFZAB-500s are also being used.

And these maps only show examples of Navy targets.

Other services will have their target sets, which also evolve over time.

Also worth saying that this is what nuclear planners do, and never stopped doing, not just in Russia but in all nuclear powers.

I would treat the markers on the map as examples. Such planning is a dynamic process, changing with the evolving capabilities on both sides.

For the Russian Navy, the introduction of SS-N-30 has likely changed their role for both conventional and nuclear theatre strike ops.

I would be cautious about linking today's FT article to current events in Kursk.
This isn't their first article on these topics.

Haven't picked up nuclear weapons related chatter that should be taken seriously over Kursk yet.

More notable is its absence. https://twitter.com/The_Lookout_N/status/1823268683109515298#m
