RT @Jeff21461: Rheinmetall has officially opened a new production facility for 30mm cannon ammunition in Hungary.

The factory is located in in Várpalota, 75 kilometers southwest of Budapest and is part of the companies larger investment into Hungary following the countries adoption of the KF41 Lynx IFV.

Hungary for its part jointly funded the construction of this plant with an investment worth 60 million €. Additionally the plant will in the future be expanded to also produce 120mm tank and 155mm artillery ammunition.

@BOT14522: Cheaper=less capability. If the Norwegian Army wanted a system that could only defeat small UAS then Kongsberg would have built them one to do that. That's not what their requirements were though.
