Russian Sukhoi Su-34 bomber crashed near Volgograd in Russia on Saturday.

According to available information, the two crew-members managed to eject before the plane impacted the ground.

Russian Defense Ministry said that the crash was caused by "technical malfunction."

Regarding Ukrainian claims of attacking Olenegorsk Air Base, I would treat that with scepticism for now.

I have looked through a number of Murmansk Oblast news sites and not found any mentions that indicates an attack happened there so far.

💥✈️/1. Russian Defense Ministry - A Su-34 fighter-bomber/strike aircraft crashed in the Volgograd region of Russia. The crew survived. The flight was carried out without ammunition, there is no damage on the ground. A technical malfunction could have been the cause of the accident.
