Repair of the runway at Machulishchy airfield has begun
At the end of March, we wrote about the plans to repair the runway at Machulishchy airfield in 2024.
According to @Hajun_BY, on July 12, An-26, Il-76 and Tu-134 aircraft of the 50th Combined Air Base, which is based at Machulishchy airfield, flew to Baranavichy airfield. On July 15, flights of aircraft of the Belarusian Air Force were recorded the last time at Machulishchy airfield. Since July 16, only flights of helicopters have been recorded at the airfield.
The absence of information about the flights of aircraft, as well as the relocation of some aircraft to another airfield indicate the beginning of the runway repair. According to satellite images, the works started on July 16.
The amount of materials (PAG-18 slabs) to be purchased in 2024 will be enough to replace ~150 meters of the runway at Machulishchy airfield. In total, from 2021...

❗️German citizen was sentenced to death penalty in Belarus
According to our information, in late June, German citizen Rico Krieger was sentenced to death by Minsk Regional Court.
The man was charged under the articles: “illegal actions in relation to firearms”, “disabling public transport or communication routes”, “establishment or participation in an “extremist” formation”, “agent activity”, “mercenarism” and “act of terrorism”.
It’s known that the man has a minor child in Germany. Currently it’s unknown whether the verdict has been appealed or protested, and whether it has entered into legal force.

❗️A Belarusian was killed in Israel during a drone attack
Last night, 50-year-old repatriate from Belarus Yauhen Parder was killed in a kamikaze drone attack in Tel Aviv.
Yauhen repatriated to Israel about two years ago. He was working as a repairman in a hotel on the waterfront in Tel Aviv, where an Iranian Samad-3 kamikaze drone attacked at around 3 a.m.
The man’s body was found two hours after the attack. According to the media, he had a sister and mother in Israel.
