A Russian passenger Sukhoi Superjet-100 of Gazpromavia airlines crashed in the Kolomensky district of the Moscow region.
According to Russian media, it was a test flight and there were three crew members on board.

@JBWolfsthal: In addition to what I said above, I proceed here from the basis that the INF treaty as we knew it is dead.
Ground launched systems with sufficient range offers a flexibility against deep targets, especially against time sensitive ones, that the current capabilities, airpower and naval missiles, doesn't have.
Also, all three methods complement each other well and the number of launchers matter, due both to the number of missiles that will required in wartime and because diversification enhances survivability when facing similar Russian systems and their other strike capabilities.
Current air- and naval capabilities are also heavily reliant on the US so I would say that intermediate ranged systems in European service will be much more important than this initial US deployment. But, we tend to need the US to jump first.
Europe needs to be able to counter what Ukraine is exposed to today from Russian long range strikes and the most cost effective way to do that is through ground based missiles.
Where my views might diverge from others is that I would like this category of systems in NATO service to remain conventional only, for as long as possible, despite Russian ones highly likely being dual capable.

According to @Hajun_BY, in July-August, a training session with conscripts of the territorial troops will be held in Orsha district (Vitsiebsk region). It’s planned to draft 110 reservists.
The costs of the training session will be financed from the budget of Orsha district. Initially the national defense expenditures in the district budget for 2024 were only 15,500 BYN ($4,832). However, in May the budget was adjusted, and the expenditures increased 10 times (to 158,249 BYN ($49,334)). This amount is almost seven times more than in 2023.
Preparations also continued for a training session with conscripts of the territorial troops of Vitsiebsk district. It can be expected that the training sessions in Vitsiebsk and Orsha districts will be held simultaneously.
Mobilization exercises will also be held in Vitsiebsk region at the end of July. Their main purpose is to assess the degree of readiness o...

Sabotage and reconnaissance groups, drones, caches with weapons and a sudden combat readiness inspection: What was it?
One of the key events of June in Belarus was another sudden combat readiness inspection of the Belarusian Armed Forces. It all started when on June 20, the State Security Committee of Belarus said about the increase of the Ukrainian military group near the borders of Belarus, and the next day the Ministry of Defense of Belarus announced the beginning of the combat readiness inspection.
According to the head of the General Staff Muraveika, the inspection was to involve units of the Special Operations Forces, Missile and Artillery Troops, artillery, SAM systems, aviation, UAVs and means of electronic warfare, and it was to take place on the territory of Homiel and Brest regions.
It’s known that as part of the inspection, the military practiced:
• Searching for, blocking and destroying sabotage and reconnaissance groups;
