RT @deaidua: Seeing the announcements made just now by the US government/Biden regarding future deliveries of IRIS-T SLM, IRIS-T SLS, Gepard SPAAGs, and the Patriot fire units by Germany, the Netherlands, and Romania, I don't see any evidence that these are additional pledges as announced earlier by POLITICO and Biden.
“Today, we are announcing that, collectively, we are providing Ukraine with additional [...] air defense systems, including additional Patriot batteries [...] by the United States, Germany, and Romania; Patriot components donated by the Netherlands and other partners [...] and an additional SAMP-T system donated by Italy”
We already knew about the German (delivered days ago), Romanian (weeks ago), Dutch (weeks ago), and Italian SAMP/T pledges (weeks ago). Only the US pledge is a new additional pledge to Ukraine.
Coming to the second part, we will discuss Germany in particular.
